An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a fast–growing and dynamic organisation specialising in school refurbishment projects under government–backed contracts. You'll be responsible for the end–to–end design of electrical systems will full autonomy over your work to support multiple education–sector projects across Basildon and surrounding areas.

This is a key technical role for an Electrical Design Engineer within a company undergoing significant growth, offering a clear progression pathway into senior design or engineering management roles. You'll be part of a collaborative team working on long–term frameworks with a steady pipeline of school and public sector refurbishment projects.

The Electrical Design Engineer will:

• Design and develop electrical systems and layouts for school refurbishment projects
• Produce detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and load calculations in compliance with relevant standards and regulations
• Work alongside project managers, site teams, and external consultants to ensure design intent is maintained through to completion

The Electrical Design Engineer will have:

• Proven experience in electrical design engineering, ideally within the education or public sector refurbishment environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, compliance standards (e.g., BS 7671), and building services design
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across multi–disciplinary teams
