Job Summary

To support our teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking for an Electrical Design Engineer (Modular) based in Blackburn. Reporting to the Electrical Design Manager, you will be part of an engineering team that values communication, ambition, and innovation. You will work across multiple disciplines to understand the product lifecycle and support the development of standard modular drawings.

What a typical day looks like:

• Creating electrical designs of switchboards and related products for production/fabrication;
• Ensuring drawings are controlled, accurate, and clear for shop floor use;
• Supporting production/test teams in resolving design issues;
• Assisting with shop floor, site operations, and client testing;
• Proactively identifying and resolving risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle;
• Participating in team development, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement activities.

The experience we’re looking for:

• Experience in electrical engineering, either in production or design;
• Knowledge of switchgear is advantageous;
• Experience with 2D design using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical;
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
• Creative, proactive, and detail-oriented;
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple objectives.
