Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking an Electrical Design Manager to lead the electrical design function for building services projects, delivering innovative, compliant and cost-effective solutions.

You will oversee LV distribution, lighting, fire alarms, security systems and renewable technologies, ensure BS7671 and building regulations compliance, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with clients, consultants and project managers to drive delivery on time

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical design management within building services or M&E contracting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, installation, commissioning.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under pressure.
• Commercial awareness and experience managing design budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the electrical design process across multiple projects.

The Electrical Design Manager will lead the design function for electrical building services projects, ensuring innovative, compliant, and cost-effective solutions are delivered.This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage design teams while liaising closely with clients, consultants, and project managers.

Work Environment Office based but will require on-site visits & meetings, coordinating activities across multiple projects or locations within construction.Required to adapt to unforeseen changes, maintain high safety standards, and interact with a variety of professionals and clients.
