Job summary

Jones Engineering is seeking a Commercial Manager with an electrical background to join the delivery teams for upcoming Data Centre projects across multiple European locations.

The role involves supporting the construction team on quantity surveying tasks, managing subcontractors, procurement, and forecasting turnover and cash flow while ensuring contractual compliance across sites. Travel to European locations is expected and career growth is supported by senior staff in Ireland.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years post-qualification experience
• Electrical role experience required
• Data Centre experience preferred but not essential
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Support Construction Team on Quantity Surveying functions
• Identify commercial risks and report promptly to management
• Prepare monthly progress applications with remeasure, variations and day-works
• Provide procurement support in conjunction with Procurement Department
• Manage subcontractor accounts from award to final account
• Forecast turnover and cash flow for projects
• Ensure contractual compliance and reliable reporting
• Mentor the wider Commercial Team on site
• Perform other duties as required
