Job summary

AmcoGiffen seeks an enthusiastic Electrician with mechanical awareness to support regional framework maintenance across the Midlands. You will handle electrical and mechanical asset repair, including SCADA, PLCs, and control panels, with travel across the UK canals and rivers as required.

You will interpret electrical drawings, perform fault finding on PLCs and HMIs, and assist in calibration, testing and commissioning of systems while working in a dynamic multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrician with instrumentation, PLC/HMI and SCADA experience.
• Full UK driving license and multi-site project exposure.
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings and testing installations.
• Knowledge of software updates, fault finding and calibration.
• Desirable: mechanical system familiarity and cross-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• View live/historical data for client assets.
• Configure systems, upload/download software, modify sequences.
• Test communications and connect instrumentation.
• Update firmware and save configurations/isographs to client DB.
• Troubleshoot faults and perform repairs and maintenance.
• Participate in 365 days-per-year on-call rota with team.
