Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Electrical Engineer / Controls Engineer for a permanent role near Shaftesbury, Dorset. You will develop PLC and automation capabilities on a modern manufacturing site, trusted to drive improvements and take ownership of projects.

This long-term role offers Mitsubishi PLC training, a clear development path, and a structured schedule (Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30) on a busy production line.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineer with PLC/controls exposure or interest in automation.
• Experience fault-finding on plant equipment and supporting engineering teams.
• Willingness to train on Mitsubishi PLCs and participate in upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Support and improve site electrical / controls systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, drives).
• Fault-finding on plant issues and supporting the wider engineering team.
• Continuous improvement and capital project support (design, installation, commissioning).
• Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30.
