Job Description

In this role, you will report directly to the Electrical Engineering Manager and be responsible for:

  • Defining Electrical and Controls Engineering specifications for high-temperature vacuum furnaces
  • Assessing equipment specifications and performance criteria to minimize costs and technical risks
  • Collaborating with Mechanical Engineering, creating bills of materials, modifying designs as needed, and preparing manuals and documenting test results
  • Conceptualizing, designing, and programming electrical equipment and control configurations
  • Generating detailed drawings, schematics, and configuring PLC and HMI code
  • Finalizing "as built" documentation, including drawings and schematics

The Successful Applicant

A successful Electrical Controls Engineer will have:

  • 4+ years of automation experience
  • PLC and HMI testing and configuration experience
  • Controls troubleshooting knowledge
  • Vacuum, furnace, pressure vessel, ASME, or heat treating experience preferred
