WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Collaborate with software, robotics and mechanical teams to plan system functionality.
  • Plan the controls architecture and cabinet layouts for each system.
  • Create electrical drawings and wire your designs.
  • Train and supervise engineering technicians in assembling panels and wiring machines to your specifications.
  • Provide engineering support to the service team, offering advice and remedial actions following investigations of product failures.
  • Oversee and manage the development of electrical controls systems, PLC controls and electrical integration within automated systems and robot cells.
  • Find innovative solutions to complex problems, particularly from an electrical perspective.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent would be beneficial but not essential for this role
  • Electrical Installation Experience, including panel building, system wiring and on-site experience.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to develop quality checking processes.
  • Proven industrial experience in PLC integration, configuration and some programming
  • Experience with Beckhoff PLCs would be a great advantage.
  • Strong skills in electrical and controls fault finding and debugging.
  • Stakeholder management experience.
