Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading Energy from Waste company to recruit an EC&I Technician for its site in Allerton, North Yorkshire.

The EC&I Technician role comes with a starting salary of up to £48,000 + benefits package.

Responsibilities and duties
  • Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for fault finding, installing and maintaining electrical systems, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level) and control systems.
  • Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the sites DCS/control systems.
  • Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS)
  • Assist in the development of plant modification and improvement work.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS
  • Supervising and directing on site contractors when required
  • Ensuring strict HSE compliance at all times.
Professional qualifications
  • A recognised electrical or controls and instrumentation engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 or HNC preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience working in the maintenance team in a heavy process environment such as a power station, refinery, chemical plant etc.
  • Candidates with an Electrical bias are preferred
Personal skills
  • Ability to work well alone or in a team
  • Is results focused and can deliver accurate results on time.
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
