Job summary

A leading Electrical and Mechanical Contractor in Northern Ireland seeks a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee high-value projects in defence, commercial, and datacentre sectors. Candidates should have extensive experience in similar roles and a strong track record in large-scale project delivery. Qualifications in Construction or Project Management are preferred.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete construction installation project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and design input through to final completion and handover.
• Attend project start-up meetings and manage all mechanical aspects, delivering the project on time and within budget. Familiarise yourself with all details and specifications of the project.
• Collate technical submittals, ensuring they are issued and followed through until approval. Maintain a weekly progress report, managing any changes or variations.
• Liaise with main contractors and the client-based site team.
• Oversee coordination and delivery of project plant and equipment, ensuring materials are always available to complete the project.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a Mechanical Project Manager or similar position
• Successful track record of delivering large-scale projects
• Qualification in Construction/Project Management is preferred, along with experience of supervising teams
