Additional Coverage: Nottingham, Derby, Chesterfield, and along the M1 Corridor

About G2 Energy (G2E)

G2 Energy is a NERS-accredited Independent Connections Provider (ICP), delivering expert high-voltage electrical and civil engineering solutions. We provide Contestable Works up to kV, and we're also qualified to deliver projects on National Grid infrastructure up to kV.

We're currently delivering a major energy project at Staythorpe BESS and are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Construction Supervisor to help lead on-site delivery. This is a great opportunity to join a growing business working at the heart of the UK's energy transition.

The Role

You'll support the Project Manager by supervising and coordinating all on-site electrical installation works, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards. This role is ideal for someone with strong LV and HV experience who can take ownership of day-to-day site activities and lead subcontractors to deliver first-time-right results.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise electrical installation works, including LV and HV systems

Oversee the installation of switchgear, transformers, wiring, earthing, ducting, and protection systems

Interpret and work to electrical drawings and DNO specifications (e.g., G81)

Coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors

Manage and inspect above and below-ground installations

Support electrical testing, commissioning, and quality checks

Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager

Ensure works comply with NRSWA Section 50, NJUG guidelines, and health & safety standards

Manage documentation and compliance for subcontractors, including reviewing RAMS and scope of works

What We're Looking For

5+ years' experience in LV/HV electrical installations (HV experience essential)

Background working with switchgear, transformers, generators, and substations

Strong understanding of DNO standards and industry best practices

Experience supervising subcontractors and managing technical site works

Knowledge of health & safety legislation (CDM, HSG47, etc.)

Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Experience working on works up to kV (preferred)

Familiarity with DNO authorisations, SAP processes, and G81 standards

Required or Desirable Qualifications
