Skilled Careers is recruiting an Electrical Construction Manager to lead the on-site electrical package for a major hospital development in Wimbledon, South West London. The role involves coordinating electrical subcontractors, interfacing with project management, engineering and construction teams, and delivering works safely, on programme and to required quality.

The position is long-term with permanent and freelance options; start ASAP.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as an Electrical Construction Manager on large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation processes and QA/QC requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Proven track record coordinating electrical subcontractors and site teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of electrical installation works on site.
• Lead and coordinate electrical subcontractors, engineers and site teams.
• Ensure works are delivered in line with programme and project requirements.
• Coordinate electrical activities with other MEP disciplines and wider construction team.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure correct installations.
• Monitor progress, productivity and quality of electrical works.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with standards, specifications and project procedures.
• Maintain health & safety, quality and programme delivery.
• Attend and lead site meetings and coordination meetings.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and resource management.
• Assist with planning, sequencing and coordination of electrical works.
• Identify delays and implement solutions.
• Work with commissioning and QA/QC teams for testing and handover.
