Job summary

Michael Taylor Search & Selection is assisting a leading Mechanical & Electrical contractor with an Electrical Construction Manager role for a new build security facility. The project is a £18m M&E package in Suffolk, with a day rate of £325-£375 or a permanent equivalent, reporting to the Lead Project Manager and managing on-site delivery.

Qualifications

• Progressed from a tools background and have good technical knowledge of electrical services.
• Experience managing projects to a minimum of £5M within your own discipline.
• A minimum 5 years experience in a management role.
• Ideally subcontracted to main contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine, ISg, Mace, Wates, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design Review (scope gaps / clashes).
• Short term programming.
• Health & Safety (RAMS).
• Technical Submissions.
• Preparation/issuing all RFI.
• Sub-contractor coordination.
• Management of commissioning stages.
• Liaising with client team, main contractor and sub-contractors.
• Progress meetings with sub-contractors, professional teams and client.

Client: Our client is a leading Mechanical & Electrical contractor operating in London and the home counties. Having been established for 20 years they benefit from a large amount of repeat business. They pride themselves on being able to deliver technically, logistically challenging and fast-paced schemes. With a turnover in excess of £50M they operate in Commercial Office, Public sectors and high end residential. Their clients included: Galliford Try, British Land, Mace and Sir Robert McAlpine, to name a few.

Role: Electrical Construction Manager Suffolk Rate £325-£375 per day or permanent equivalent

Reporting to a Lead Project Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a £18m M&E package within their own discipline. The project is a new build security facility. Key to this role is managing the project at site level; ensuring it is completed on time, to a high quality and within budget.
