Job summary

Carbon 60 is seeking an Electrical Compliance Engineer to join our field-based team. You will deliver electrical compliance services across commercial and industrial environments, perform inspections, and compile detailed reports while upholding safety standards.

The role emphasises independent work at single sites each day, with travel to client locations, and opportunities to mentor junior engineers and develop your professional qualifications.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualifications and inspection/testing credentials.
• Knowledge of current electrical regulations and industry standards.
• Ability to assess electrical installations and identify non-compliance.
• Excellent report-writing skills.
• Organised and proactive approach to workload.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility to travel and occasional after-hours work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical compliance inspections and condition assessments across commercial and industrial facilities.
• Produce detailed technical reports and supporting documentation.
• Carry out surveying and fault-identification activities when required.
• Ensure all job records, reports and paperwork are completed accurately and submitted within timescales.
• Build and maintain relationships with site contacts and stakeholders.
• Support development of junior engineers through coaching and mentoring.
• Uphold high standards of health, safety and technical compliance.
• Manage company equipment, vehicles and administrative responsibilities.
