Electrical Compliance Engineer

Location: Cardiff

Hours of work: 41.25

Contract Type: Permanent

In this role as an Electrical Compliance Engineer, you’ll be joining an interesting and supportive team with a strong work ethic and a collaborative spirit. The sites we service offer daily opportunities to earn overtime, with flexible working hours available, especially during school holidays, providing options for standard or later working hours at enhanced rates.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electrical installation condition reports (EICR) and remedial works across retail, commercial, and office environments, ensuring high standards and compliance with NICEIC certification requirements.
  • Be fully conversant with BS7671:18th edition wiring regulations, with a keen eye for detail, and capable of working independently to deliver quality outcomes.
  • Identify and create remedial work packages based on test results, ensuring compliance with BS7671:18th Edition regulations.
  • Work independently across sites, demonstrating self-motivation, organization, and responsibility.
  • Maintain accurate records, including reports, logs, and certifications, following company procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSEQ policies and statutory regulations.
  • Act as a professional representative of ISS, engaging with clients and addressing concerns appropriately.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in Fixed Wire Testing within commercial environments.
  • Qualified to 18th Edition (BS7671) Wiring Regulations.
  • Hold City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Test & Inspection certification.
  • Electrical Installation qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of electrical compliance and safety standards.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
