Job summary

Sureserve Group is seeking a Bid Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates and tender submissions for electrical compliance projects. You will analyse tender requirements, obtain supplier quotes, and produce pricing proposals aligned with client expectations and company objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator, Bid Estimator or Commercial role within electrical, compliance, construction, or building sectors.
• Strong understanding of electrical and building service compliance and regulations.
• Experience preparing cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and profitability drivers.
• Proficiency in Excel and estimating software.
• Excellent organisational and deadline management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of Schedule of Rates (SOR) pricing, NHF or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial preparation of bids across electrical compliance, planned maintenance, and building contracts.
• Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Analyse tender requirements, assess project risks, and obtain supplier/subcontractor quotations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, Procurement and Bid Teams to ensure compliant, profitable submissions.
