Job description

The Company

Our client is a specialist Engineering company who specialise in manufacturing and automation machinery.

The Role

• Includes global travel approx. 90 days per year max.

• Will include onsite service work.

• Commissioning onsite however occasionally may also include installation, service, repair and update all equipment.

• Will also offer Service support.

• Manufacturing support (machine commissioning).

• Engineering design for current products and new product developments (hardware and software).

• Identification and implementation of design improvements.

The Person

• Will ideally be time served and have experience in a similar role.

• Must hold a driving license and current passport.

• Will be happy to travel 2 weeks longest period you will be away.

• HNC/HND/degree in electrical/electronic engineering incorporating elements of control system theory.

• Several years’ experience of control systems hardware and software design, commissioning and support preferably in a machine building environment.

• Experience of PLCs, safety PLCs HMIs, ac drives and servo-drives, industrial networks, current safety and legislation relating to electrical control systems.

• Experience using CAD packages to produce schematic diagrams, control panel layouts, assembly diagrams, terminal layouts etc.

• Project management experience.
