Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking Electrical Commissioning Engineers to support a major UK energy infrastructure programme. You will carry out HV equipment testing and commissioning, drive energisation and handover, and collaborate with commissioning managers and subcontractors on substations and grid connections.

Candidates should have proven HV commissioning experience, be able to read electrical drawings and procedures, and demonstrate strong focus on electrical safety.

Qualifications

Proven experience as Electrical Commissioning Engineer on HV projects.
Ability to read electrical drawings, test procedures and technical docs.
Strong understanding of electrical safety and site procedures.

Responsibilities

Carry out electrical commissioning and testing from pre-commissioning to energisation and handover.
Commission and test HV equipment across major infrastructure projects.
Work with Commissioning Managers, SAPs and subcontractors on site.
Review commissioning procedures, method statements and test documentation.
Identify and resolve commissioning and testing issues.
Liaise with DNOs, National Grid, OEMs and stakeholders.
Ensure commissioning activities are safe, efficient and as per specs.
Support energisation and handover of assets.
