Job summary

PWE Recruitment Group is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of the UK's landmark Hinkley Point C project. You will work with a high-performing team to safely test, validate and bring electrical systems into operation.

Based in Bridgwater, you will develop commissioning procedures, perform on-site testing, diagnose faults and document results. You’ll collaborate with design and site engineers, lead commissioning readiness reviews and supervise contractor

Qualifications

• Qualification in engineering (HNC/HND or equivalent).
• Experience commissioning electrical systems in industrial environments.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with maintenance, operational or return-to-service testing.
• Experience in high-hazard or regulated industries.
• Excellent documentation and reporting capability.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• On-site work five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver commissioning and functional testing activities for electrical systems.
• Perform fault-finding, diagnosis and system verification activities.
• Analyse commissioning results and produce technical reports.
• Support commissioning planning and programme delivery.

Hinkley Point C is the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK for more than 20 years and will provide reliable, low-carbon electricity to millions of homes. We're seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of this landmark project, working within a high-performing team responsible for safely testing, validating and bringing critical electrical systems into operation.

This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of the UK nuclear industry while developing specialist commissioning expertise on one of Europe's largest infrastructure programmes.

Key Responsibilities
