Job summary

Seismic Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Charger Technician to join an established, employee-owned engineering company. The role focuses on servicing industrial battery chargers, replacing batteries, and providing on-site technical support across the UK.

Based ideally in the East of England or Midlands, you will travel to customer sites, maintain strong health and safety standards, and build solid client relationships.

Qualifications

• Electrical/electronic fault finding required.
• Electromechanical installation experience.
• Knowledge of SLA, NiCd, and Plante batteries.
• Health & Safety certification and CSCS card desirable.
• Inspection & Testing (BS2391 or equivalent) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Organising and completing service and maintenance visits on industrial battery chargers.
• Replacing batteries at customer sites.
• Surveying sites and completing service documentation accurately and on time.
• Providing technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Maintaining professional relationships and representing the business on-site.
• Travelling extensively within the UK (occasional overseas travel).

Electrical Charger Technician

Location: Ideally based within the East of England/Midlands region, covering an area including Luton, Leicester, Peterborough, Norwich, Colchester, Chelmsford and surrounding locations

40 hrs per week (OT might be available)

Salary up to £35,000 + Excellent company benefits

• Electrical Technician experience, ideally within a field-based or customer-site environment
• Strong commitment to health & safety standards
• Good communication and customer-facing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
