Job Title: Electrical Certification Project Manager

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time, 37hrs p/w

About the role

BSI has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Certification Project Manager based at our testing labs in Loughborough or Hemel Hempstead.

Reporting to the Testing Team Manager, you will work closely with our testing team and clients, managing a portfolio of Certification Schemes within the Electrical stream (EMC and IECEE CB Schemes). Your goal will be to deliver high-quality, accurate product evaluations, ensure client satisfaction, and meet commercial targets.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prioritize, and supervise certification applications to ensure timely and effective processing.
• Review technical reports and make certification recommendations.
• Manage project delivery and maintain accurate project plans and forecasts.
• Represent BSI with external bodies as needed.
• Stay updated on product standards and directives relevant to the market.
• Collaborate with sales, clients, and laboratories to assess inquiries and develop certification programs.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, potentially acting as account manager.
• Support business growth through global travel when required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Knowledge of international, European, or British standards and relevant legislation.
• Degree or equivalent in a relevant technical field.
• Understanding of quality requirements like EN 45011 or ISO Guide 65.
• Experience with EMC compliance testing/directives and IECEE CB Schemes is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Proficiency with office IT systems and budget monitoring experience.
