Job description

Guidant Global is collaborating with our client, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, to find a proficient Electrical Calibration Operator. The role involves carrying out regular calibration of Special to Type Test Equipment (STTE) and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) equipment.

What we're looking for:
  1. Develop clear and comprehensive calibration & maintenance records.
  2. Experience in calibrating COTS/Special to Type Test Equipment.
  3. Experience working on Environmental Stress Screening Facilities (ESS) is desirable.
  4. Knowledge in calibrating electrical test equipment such as Power Supplies, Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, Function Generators, etc.
  5. Understanding In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.
  6. Capable of following the manufacturer's instructions, and an excellent understanding of SAP would be desirable.
  7. Qualifications: Vocational G or H Units with Further Education, City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3; or Vocational TR23 Units with Further Education, ONC or City & Guilds Parts 1, 2 & 3; or Vocational NVQ3 with Further Education, BTEC ONC/HNC in Electronics.
What you'll get to do as an Electrical Calibration and Maintenance Operator:

The candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting the Operations team. They will perform initial calibration, routine calibration, and maintenance of test and measurement equipment, ensuring compliance with current procedures. The candidate will follow departmental processes to carry out calibration and repair tasks and generate comprehensive calibration/maintenance records for traceability.
