Job summary

RSE is seeking an Electrical CAD Technician to join our in-house Design team within the Water sector. You’ll produce accurate CAD drawings, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules for our chemical dosing and wastewater projects, working with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver technically complex solutions.

The ideal candidate will have 2D modelling skills, a relevant qualification, strong attention to detail, and good communication.

Qualifications

• 2D modelling experience translating proposed designs into accurate models
• Proficient in producing electrical CAD drawings, schematics and layouts
• Ability to create and maintain cable schedules and termination diagrams
• Develop and update design documentation to meet project requirements and standards
• Conduct drawing checks and quality reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Improve CAD standards, templates and engineering processes

Responsibilities

What Are We Looking For?

Owing to continued sustainable growth, our in-house Design team is looking for an Electrical CAD Technician to join our Chemical Dosing and Wastewater Solutions Team. You’ll be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team who can offer guidance and support, as you work on technically complex and challenging projects within the Water industry.

Some Of Your Key Duties Include

• Produce accurate electrical CAD drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Create and maintain cable schedules and termination diagrams.
• Develop and update electrical design documentation in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes, site modifications, and as-built information.
• Conduct drawing checks and quality reviews to ensure technical accuracy and consistence.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of CAD standards, templates, and engineering processes.

What Do You Need?

• Qualified to HNC, HND, Degree level in a relevant discipline would be advantageous.
• 2D modelling skills with experience of translating proposed designs into accurate models.
• Keen focus on quality whilst also be able to work at pace within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Prior experience of working within the water sector would be beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
