Job description

Our Client has a requirement for an Electrical Building Services Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Warrington.

Job Role Responsibilities:

• Review of technical deliverables and support team with checking / approval activity.
• Management of Electrical Building Services team and activities to ensure delivery prioritising quality and time and also collation and interface with the supporting Axiom design discipline Lead Engineers of Mechanical/Ventilation, CS&A, process.
• Manage interface with Stakeholders representing; Systems, Mechanical, Process, CSA, Project etc.
• Presenting Electrical / UPS designs for Single Discipline Design Reviews and input into Multi–Discipline Design Reviews.
• Representing Electrical / UPS Services in Meetings, Design Reviews, Constructability Walkdowns, HAZCONS etc.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

• Full confident experience of design delivery of Electrical Building Services (LV Power, Cable Management, Lighting, Fire Alarms).
• Full confident experience of design delivery for Industrial UPS including key technical aspects of UPS design (e.g., Plant Upstream/Downstream protective devices for correct sizing of UPS, understanding UPS Start up and Running Loads requirements (Rectifier/Inverter sizing) and overall changeover strategies).
• Organisation and attending meetings with key stakeholders to extract underpinning design data (e.g., plant config management) for design incorporation.
• Understanding and practical implementation of SL specs.
• Appreciation and understanding of plant modifications and impact to the LV downstream systems (including SRE & SMs) and plant impact.
• Experience of Prelim & Detail Design including Tender Procurement Specs/Drawings including H&S overlay of hazard triangles, Calcs/OIMS and phasing of works with input to PEITPs/Quality Plans, PE&ITPs, CDM docs, Basis of Design, V&V, Regulation Register, input to EOs, Technical Basis of Maintenance etc.
• Understanding battery parameters including DSEAR regulations.
• 18th Edition IET trained.
• Check & Approval SLP 1.02.42.
