Overview

Electrical Build Engineer – Location: Sheffield • Job type: Permanent • Salary: £30,000-£40,000 per annum • Start date: Immediate

Role

We are seeking inquisitive and curious Electrical Build Engineers to join a growing automation team. You will review technical drawings and build high-quality, bespoke, robot-based electromechanical automation systems to specification and in line with required safety standards. This is a hands-on role requiring teamwork, communication, and proactive problem-solving.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver technical projects, provide feedback on improvements, and ensure systems are built and tested to a high standard. The role also involves diagnosing and resolving electrical faults and occasional travel to install robotic automation systems at client sites. Due to the nature of some projects, applicants must be British and eligible to obtain security clearance up to DV level.

What You Will Do
  • Review technical drawings and build bespoke robot-based electromechanical automation systems to specification and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver technical projects, provide feedback on improvements, and ensure systems are built and tested to a high standard.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults; travel to client sites to install robotic automation systems as required.
About You
  • HNC in an electrical-focused course, apprentice trained, or equivalent experience
  • Confident reading and interpreting electrical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Understanding of industrial and safety systems
  • Able to plan workload and work autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willing and able to travel to customer sites
Requirements

Due to project requirements, applicants must be British and eligible to obtain security clearance up to DV level.
