Overview

Electrical Build Engineer – Dorchester

Job type: Permanent | Salary: £30,000-£40,000 per annum | Start date: Immediate

The Role

You will review technical drawings and build high-quality, bespoke, robot-based electromechanical automation systems to specification and in line with required safety standards. This is a hands-on role requiring teamwork, communication, and proactive problem-solving. You\'ll collaborate with stakeholders to deliver technical projects, provide feedback on improvements, and ensure systems are built and tested to a high standard. The role also involves diagnosing and resolving electrical faults and occasional travel to install robotic automation systems at client sites. Due to the nature of some projects, applicants must be British Citizens and eligible to obtain security clearance up to DV level.

About You
  • HNC in an electrical-focused course, apprentice trained, or equivalent experience
  • Confident reading & interpreting electrical drawings
  • Strong problem-solving skills & willingness to learn new technologies
  • Understanding of industrial & safety systems
  • Able to plan workload & work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willing & able to travel to customer sites
