Job summary

Synergi is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (Electrical Bias Preferred) for a global frozen food manufacturing client. The role operates a 24/7 rotating days and nights schedule, performing planned and reactive maintenance on highly automated equipment to maximise reliability and minimise downtime.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering qualification (NVQ3/City & Guilds/HNC or equivalent) with at least 3 years in manufacturing maintenance, strong electrical fault-finding skills, and

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification at NVQ3/City & Guilds/HNC or equivalent.
• At least 3 years' maintenance engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills with mechanical maintenance knowledge.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance on automated equipment.
• Exposure to PLC-controlled machinery and fault finding.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced shift environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across automated production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Work safely in line with health & safety, food safety and GMP standards.
• Record maintenance activities using a CMMS.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure efficient plant performance.
