Job summary

Contract Personnel Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a well-established local food processing plant for a Multi-Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias. You will maintain site equipment, support production, uphold GMP and Health & Safety.

Key duties include fault finding across electrical, mechanical, and control systems, planned maintenance, and driving continuous improvement. The role operates full-time with rotating shifts and a salary up to £48,500 per annum DOE.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualifications or certifications in multi-skilled engineering.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience with PLC systems and automation.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site equipment to support production efficiency.
• Fault find and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive repairs.

• Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Record maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote GMP and Health & Safety policies.
