Job summary

Arriva London North Limited is seeking an Electrical Bias Engineer for the Day Shift at Stamford Hill Bus Garage to support reliable, safe operation of electrical systems on buses. This role focuses on reactive and preventative maintenance and requires strong fault-finding skills.

You will diagnose faults, perform installations and upgrades, and maintain thorough records while adhering to safety and company standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in heavy vehicle/transport environments.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills for complex electrical systems.
Ability to read/interpret electrical schematics, drawings and manuals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
Proactive, results-oriented problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment on buses.
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults promptly to minimise disruption.
Carry out electrical installations, modifications and upgrades to standards.
Conduct routine inspections and testing to identify issues and ensure compliance.
Collaborate with other engineering and operations teams to meet objectives.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, fault reports and history.
Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
Participate in continuous improvement to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues as required.
