This role is crucial for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of Arriva's electrical systems and equipment, primarily focusing on reactive and preventative maintenance within our Buses. --- Job Responsibilities \* Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on a variety of electrical systems and equipment, including but not limited to, control panels, motor control centres, lighting systems, power distribution, and associated Systems on Buses. \* Diagnose and rectify electrical faults promptly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. \* Carry out electrical installations, modifications, and upgrades in accordance with relevant regulations and company standards. \* Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment to identify potential issues and ensure compliance. \* Work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines and operational teams to achieve shared objectives. \* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, fault reports, and equipment history. \* Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and best practices at all times. \* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and efficiency. \* Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues as required. --- Job Qualifications \* \*\*Essential:\*\* Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer, ideally within a heavy Vehicle, transport, environment. \* \*\*Essential:\*\* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills for complex electrical systems. \* \*\*Essential:\*\* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and manuals. \* \*\*Essential:\*\* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team. \* \*\*Essential:\*\* A proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving. \* \*\*Desirable:\*\* Full UK driving license (dependent on specific site requirements).
