A leading manufacturer of frozen unbaked pastry products is looking for a Maintenance Engineer in Royal Leamington Spa. The role focuses on maintaining a fully automated production and packaging plant while ensuring high quality and performance. Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a factory environment, ideally in food.
• An Electrically Biased Engineer with a strong mechanical skill set.
• Knowledge of PLC desirable but not essential.

Shire Foods is a manufacturer of frozen unbaked pastry products for the retail and foodservice sectors.

Role Description

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for troubleshooting using excellent fault-finding skills and dealing with tasks to maintain and enhance a world-class, fully automated production process and front-line packaging plant.

You will assist with plant optimisation and performance within a genuine culture of continuous improvement. Ensuring that production targets are achieved on time, you will work to stringent cost and quality standards.

You will work with the factory's planned maintenance system, developing and completing planned maintenance routines, and constantly monitoring the effectiveness of any system.

Skills-

Experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a factory environment, ideally in food.

An Electrically Biased Engineer with a strong mechanical skill set

Engineering Qualifications

Electrical Qualifications

A knowledge of PLC would be desirable but not essential

Basic workshop skills

Experience in Refrigeration would be an advantage

To be able to fault find in all areas of Engineering and rectify to a satisfactory outcome.

Able to prioritise in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Willingness to train and learn new skills.

This is a permanent position with an immediate start available. The successful applicant will work varied shifts as the business works 24 hours, 6 days per week. In return, we offer a competitive salary and the opportunity for career progression.
