Our Infrastructure team brings its design, build and refurbishment expertise to complex projects across the country and we have an opportunity for an Electrical Authorising Engineer to join us at our Head Office in Leavesden, Hertfordshire, with occasional travel required across our UK sites.

The role’s purpose will be to ensure the company complies with the electrical safety rules and procedures.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for the administration, implementation and auditing of our sites to ensure electrical safety rules and procedures are followed.
  • Produce technical bulletins on electrical regulation changes and safety issues.
  • Assess and appoint LV Authorised Persons (AP), evaluate sub-contractor electrical APs' competence, and conduct training and renewals.
  • Review Electrical certification and support the development of Skanska’s Health & Safety Management System.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Must hold a full UK driving license
  • Experience as an Authorised Person
  • Qualified HV/LV Authorising Engineer
  • Qualified in Inspection and Testing/Design and Verification
