Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Director for Building Services MEP in Cambridge. You will lead multidisciplinary design teams, deliver technical guidance on a wide range of projects, and drive feasibility studies with minimal supervision while aligning with client needs.

Based in our Cambridge office with hybrid work, you will mentor engineers, oversee detailed designs, coordinate with electrical and public health disciplines, and ensure compliance with UK regulations and current standards.

Qualifications

• UK and European regulations applicable to Building Services MEP
• UK project experience within Building Services MEP
• Proficiency with electrical design software to allocate/direction of work
• Experience with Revit MEP or other 3D design software
• Ability to sketch and communicate technical detail graphically
• Knowledge of AutoCAD for project work

Responsibilities

• Lead projects in discipline and for the overall project team
• Provide design and technical advice with a multidisciplinary approach
• Work with minimal supervision on technical aspects
• Interpret client needs to meet full delivery requirements
• Supervise detailed designs and mentor others
• Lead feasibility studies for projects
• Direct production of detailed and performance specifications
• Review design programmes and ensure adequate resources
