Job summary

Westray Recruitment Consultants Ltd is recruiting for an Assembly Operator to support our client’s manufacturing site in the UK. You will assemble electrical components, read wiring diagrams, perform quality checks and test systems, while maintaining 5S compliant workstations.

A good eye for detail and manual dexterity are essential, with training provided where needed. The role offers a 2-shift weekly rotation (06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00), a starting rate of £14.33/hour, and potential

Qualifications

Experience assembling electrical components and working to electrical diagrams.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Willingness to undertake training and learn new skills.
Experience with shift rotations is desirable.

Responsibilities

Assemble and wire electrical components, control panels, and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools and soldering equipment.
Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
Perform quality checks to ensure components meet safety and operational standards.
Test electrical systems and troubleshoot issues.
Maintain clean and organized workstations in line with 5S standards.
Complete production records and documentation as required.
