Job Description:
  • Role: Electrical Assembly and Test Operative

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Assembly and Test Operative to join our team in Sheerness. The role involves assembling components such as Evaporators, Condensers, Fan Baffles, and testing them to ensure quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wire basic components like Fan Boards, Light carriers, Shelf lights, solenoid coils, and perform bench tests on a Safe Block.
  • Run probes inside cabinets and secure them with braided sleeving according to customer specifications.
  • Set out control panels with Din Rail, trunking, terminals, and contactors.
  • Use basic hand and power tools competently.
  • Follow PPE guidelines and maintain a high standard of Housekeeping & Health & Safety awareness.
  • Assist with additional tasks as directed by the Team Leader.

Daily Operations:

  • Report to your Team Leader, ensuring sub-assembled components meet quality standards.
  • Be flexible to work in other departments as required.

Time Management:

  • Flexible hours, including weekends and overtime if necessary.
  • Maintain excellent attendance, punctuality, and reliability.

Experience Requirements:

  • Full or Part qualified electrician certification.
  • Previous manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with hand tools.

Relationships:

Internal contacts include Production Manager, Team Leaders, Production staff, Office Staff, Stores, and Planning.
