Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

A leading food processing company has an immediate requirement for an experienced electrical / mechanical maintenance engineer to join them at their factory in Kilkeel, BT34 4AF.

Location: Kilkeel, County Down, Northern Ireland, BT34 4AF

Role Overview

As an electrical/mechanical maintenance engineer, you will have extensive experience servicing and repairing plant machinery and vehicles, including refrigeration, chillers, and HVAC systems.

Key Skills Required
  • Strong technical skills in mechanical/electrical systems working with pumps, motors, HVAC, refrigeration units
  • Removal, fitting, and repair of pumps, motors, fans, and ancillary equipment
  • Control panel and pipework knowledge is an advantage
  • Experience with refrigeration, HVAC, and cooling systems
  • Vehicle repair skills
Main Duties
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical issues on a wide range of plant and machinery
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs
  • Install and test new parts and equipment
  • Support commissioning of machinery and develop maintenance strategies
