Compensation: Up to £43, DOE + Regular OT if needed + Benefits

At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as an Electrical and Instrumentation Craftsperson at our Sellafield site.

The role

As an Electrical and Instrumentation Craftsperson, you’ll be responsible for the repair, maintenance, calibration, and testing of EC&I components within Radiation Protection Instruments to meet project demands while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Daily tasks include repairing, maintaining, calibrating, and testing radiation protection instruments to meet customer requirements.

  • Maintain instructions and record information accurately
  • Conform to local procedures, rules, and practices to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Provide technical advice and updates to customers
  • Mentor team members, including apprentices and new entrants, to uphold standards and best practices

This is a full-time, onsite position at Sellafield.

Experience required

  • Apprenticeship or equivalent training in relevant disciplines (e.g., Electronic, Electrical, Instrumentation, Technology)
  • Knowledge of conventional and nuclear safety
  • Experience servicing electronic instrument systems

Qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above), including English, Science, and Maths (Grade B or above)

The candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance. UK nationality or continuous UK work experience for the last 5 years required.
