Job description

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential?

Our Elective Home Education (EHE) Team specializes in working with parents who choose to electively home educate their children and provides the following services:

  1. Support to parents in providing suitable education for their children
  2. A statutory function of the local authority in identifying children without a suitable education
  3. Information, advice and guidance to other agencies on EHE
Main Responsibilities
Working with families in Cannock and Lichfield districts, you will hold responsibility for a number of children: ensuring parents are providing a suitable education for their children, and offering support information, advice and guidance where appropriate. Developing, facilitating and organizing family and professionals’ meetings, events, and groups to ensure home education is delivered in line with statutory services and is both efficient and effective.The Ideal Candidate
You'll have NVQ 3 in respect of working with children and their families or equivalent. Experience of enabling parents and children to take full advantage of the educational opportunities available. Experience of working with parents and children in an education setting.
