Job summary

NHS Kent and Medway Integrated Care Board is recruiting an Elective Care Commissioning Project Manager (Band 7) based in Maidstone. The post involves managing defined projects to support elective care commissioning and performance, leading planning, delivery and reporting to meet time, quality and cost targets.

Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, with preference for experience in elective services.

Qualifications

Experience in commissioning settings or healthcare policy
Knowledge of elective care services (head/neck/ophthalmology advantageous)
Experience drafting briefing papers and correspondence
Understanding of PSR, value for money, and provider performance management
Ability to analyse, plan, and report on projects across multiple stakeholders

Responsibilities

Commission and performance manage elective care services in line with ICB and national strategies.
Lead development of commissioning strategies, needs assessments, policies, and planning processes.
Manage project support functions: planning, reporting, risk and issue management, and delivery of workstreams.
Coordinate across organisations; prepare reports, correspondence and analysis for various specialties.
On a rota basis, manage the elective care inbox and Blueteq approvals.
