Job description

We are looking for a strong team player who will provide comprehensive administrative support to the general operational management team, specifically the elective care team, cancer services team, and CDC (Community Diagnostic Centre) team. This will include admin support for both senior and more junior members of the elective care team, as required.The post requires flexibility and the ability to provide a wide range of administrative and typist duties as the services develop.This is a fixed-term (12-months), full time (37.5 hours/week) post.

Main duties of the job
  • Facilitating the arrangements around meetings
  • Attending and minuting meetings
  • Supporting management of patient waiting lists (cancer and RTT)
  • Updating the Somerset Cancer Register
  • Supporting with typing letters relating to patients care
  • Ordering and receipting items for the operational management team, including raising and checking purchase orders as required
  • Prioritising incoming and outgoing work
