Job summary

Home Instead Norfolk is expanding its team of Elderly Befriender Care Assistants to support clients living at home across Norfolk. You will provide companionship, assist with mobility, and support daily living tasks with flexible shifts including mornings, evenings and alternate weekends.

We offer guaranteed hours, a £500 welcome bonus paid in two installments, enhanced bank holiday pay, a pension, DBS check, discount schemes and wellness benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in care, support or companionship roles preferred.
• Ability to assist with mobility and daily living activities.
• Good communication and compassionate attitude.
• Reliable and trustworthy with a driver’s licence.
• Right to work in the UK and own transport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and social interaction to clients at home.
• Assist with mobility and daily activities.
• Oversee medication and medical support as needed.
• Assist with light housework and meal preparation.

Elderly Befriender Care Assistant

£15 per hour

Guaranteed hours

Drivers and cyclists needed

£13.39 per hour (£15earned wage including holiday pay) with working availability during the week and alternate weekends.

We currently have Care vacancies available with immediate starts. With clients needing a mixture of morning, afternoon and evening support. At Home Instead we have a variety of working patterns, these are listed below:

7am-10pm

7am-6pm

7am-2pm

7am-12pm

9am-10pm

2pm -10pm

6pm-10pm

All our care professionals work alternative weekends availability and typically work between 10-35 hours per week.

We're looking for candidates who may already have experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant, Elderly Befriender or in Domiciliary Care.

Being aCare Assistantmeans you need to be adaptable, personable but ultimately put others first. Your role may include:

Helping with some possible personal care

Helping with mobility around the home

Overseeing medication and providing medical support

Helping with housework such as cleaning and vacuuming

Preparing and cooking meals

Running errands such as food shopping or picking up prescriptions

£500 welcome bonus will be split paid at £250 after 3 months employment and £250 after 6 months.

Care Assistants MUST have aValid UK Driving Licence(with access to a vehicle for work purposes) and have theRight to work in the UK as we currently do not offer sponsorship.
