Job summary

West Lothian Council is seeking a part-time ELC Practitioner to join Calderwood Nursery at Calderwood Primary School in East Calder. The post is 36 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, fixed term until 15 August 2027. Staff work on a rota across the opening hours and registration with the SSSC is required.

Applicants must be willing to join PVG scheme updates; the cost may be met by the candidate. The post is regulated work with vulnerable children and PVG membership costs (£59 or £18 existing)

Qualifications

• Requires registration with the SSSC.
• PVG Scheme Update check required.
• PVG membership costs may be deducted from salary if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality interactions and learning and teaching experiences for nursery learners.
• Work as part of a forward thinking team with knowledge of child development and responsive to individual needs.
