A local government authority in Clydebank is looking for an Early Learning Childcare Officer for a part-time, fixed-term position until March 2026. This is a term-time, part-time position; the salary will be pro-rata'd based on hours worked.
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (1 hour unpaid break).
West Dunbartonshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Early Learning Childcare Officer for Kilbowie Early Learning and Childcare Centre.
Role Focus: You will work at the Early Level, i.e., P.1 and ELC.
The main duties include contributing to a safe, caring, and stimulating nursery environment; implementing a relevant curriculum aligned with national and local guidance; planning, recording, and evaluating activities; maintaining children's assessment records; and promoting parental participation.
Applicants must have experience working with pre-five children in a relevant setting, with knowledge of the Curriculum of Excellence (early level) and pre-birth to three-year-old guidance. Flexibility and adaptability are essential qualities.
Qualifications required are NNEB (or modular equivalent), HNC in Childhood Practice, SVQ2 Social Services (Children and Young People), or SVQ3 in Social Services (Children and Young People). If not already registered with SSSC, successful candidates will need to register within 3 months of appointment.
This is a regulated role under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020; membership in the PVG scheme is mandatory. Further details are available here.
