Job summary

DAC Beachcroft in Glasgow is seeking a Solicitor to support the Casualty Injury team in managing defendant EL/PL claims. You will work under senior supervision on matters up to £250k, with training and ongoing support provided to help you thrive in the role.

You will handle deadlines, billing, and client liaison while developing your technical knowledge through training and legal publications. This role offers a collaborative, forward-thinking environment with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor in Scots law.
• Experience or interest in EL/PL personal injury claims is desirable.
• Organised with a strong work ethic and ability to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support the effective running of caseloads and ensure deadlines are met.
• Assist with compliance to internal SLAs, KPIs and protocols.
• Contribute to prompt billing, WIP and disbursement collection, and MI reporting.
• Maintain clear case strategies and apply current case law.
• Manage risk and escalation of issues as needed.
• Engage with clients and act as a professional ambassador for the firm.
• Draft instructions to experts and counsel.
• Support business development and client relationship activities.
• Develop technical knowledge through training and legal publications.
