Job summary

ECS Group is seeking an experienced EICR Electrician to join our Leicester team. You will perform electrical inspection and testing across residential and public sector properties, producing clear reports and ensuring compliance with current regulations.

The role requires conducting EICRs, identifying defects, issuing EICs when needed, and traveling to sites. You will work independently within a supportive team and have access to modern testing equipment and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• An Inspection & Testing qualification such as City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 or an equivalent EAL qualification.
• Experience working in social housing or similar environments.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection and reporting.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound understanding of health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) to a high standard.
• Identify and rectify C1 and C2 defects where required.
• Carry out installations and issue Electrical Installation Certificates (EICs) when required.
• Ensure all work complies with current regulations, including the 18th Edition.
• Produce accurate and comprehensive reports.
• Manage own workload and appointments effectively.
• Work independently while contributing to the wider team.
• Travel to various sites, with journeys of up to roughly one hour when needed.
