Job summary

Murray McIntosh Associates Ltd is seeking an experienced EICA Designer / Electrical Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation solutions within water and wastewater projects. Hybrid work pattern with three days in the Bury office is offered, and a rolling 12-month contract is available.

Qualifications

• EICA design experience across water/utilities/industrial/energy/infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of electrical, instrumentation, control and automation systems.
• Ability to develop practical EICA solutions and resolve technical challenges.
• Experience producing detailed engineering drawings and documentation.
• Strong communication skills and attention to technical detail.
• Degree, HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver preliminary and detailed EICA designs through project stages.
• Develop electrical, instrumentation, control and automation solutions.
• Produce engineering calculations, drawings, schedules and documentation.
• Develop cable schedules, block diagrams and single-line diagrams.
• Produce electrical layouts including cable routes and ducts using CAD.
• Develop technical specifications and engineering reports.
• Determine applicable design, installation and client standards.
• Liaise with consultants, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical support to Engineers and Technicians within the design function.
• Attend project sites when required.

EICA Design Engineer - Water & Wastewater

Location: Bury, Greater Manchester

Contract: 12-month rolling contract

IR35: Outside IR35

Working pattern: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the Bury office

Rate: Up to £500 per day (DOE)

We are looking for an experienced EICA Designer / Electrical Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation solutions across engineering projects.
