Job summary

Mint Selection | B Corp in Merseyside is seeking an experienced EHV Estimator to manage cost estimates and tenders for UK EHV cable and substation projects. You will translate drawings into accurate pricing and support subcontractor selection to win bids.

You will review drawings, specs and tender documents, perform take-offs, price work, and prepare Bills of Quantities using digital estimating tools to keep costs aligned with forecasts. The role is hybrid with occasional site visits.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating EHV cable or substation projects.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Experience producing Bills of Quantities and taking-offs.
• Experience obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Strong numerical, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and tenders for EHV projects.
• Produce competitive bid proposals within tender deadlines.
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to establish scope and risk.
• Carry out measurement and take-offs, price and record them accurately.
• Produce Bills of Quantities for EHV cable and civils works.
• Use digital take-off and estimating tools for cost take-off activities.
• Identify suitable subcontractors and analyse subcontractor pricing.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to reflect project requirements and risk.
