Job Description:

We are looking to recruit a EHS Regional Manager who will be responsible for all Environmental Health & Safety activities within the EU sites which operates in our HIP business, ensuring that these facilities have consistent procedural control of all activities relating to Health Safety and Environmental control in accordance with local statutory regulations and Bodycote PLC Safety Policy requirements and Specialist Technologies Division requirements. You will work in partnership with site management teams and divisional teams in ensuring that standards are maintained and continuously improved in a consistent manner across the division.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the facilities have consistent procedural control of all activities relating to Health Safety and Environment. These controls must be in accordance with local statutory regulations and Bodycote PLC Safety Policy requirements and Specialist Technologies Division requirements.
  • Work in partnership with site management teams and divisional teams in ensuring that standards are maintained and continuously improved in a consistent manner across the division.
  • Supporting VP HIP Europe, Global EHS Manager (in Europe) and Plant Managers/General Managers in consistent deployment of industry-leading EHS practices
  • Defining what good looks like and ensuring consistency in application across European sites
  • Developing a proactive EHS culture to influence employee behavior positively
  • Leading incident investigations, where necessary
  • Supporting sites in maintaining ISO certifications
  • Collaborating and supporting Divisional and PLC Group reporting.

Qualifications, experience and skills:

  • 5 to 10 years of professional experience in the field of EHS
  • Degree in occupational safety, environmental management, (NEBOSH) or comparable experience
  • Profound knowledge of EHS standards and regulations
  • Previous multi-site level EHS leadership experience
  • Knowledge and experience of HAZOP, JSA and Daily Management (SQDCP).
  • Effective communication skills at all levels of a global organization.
  • Ability to motivate and influence others
  • Understand and support continuous improvements
  • Self-motivated, organised and able to work on own initiative and to strict deadlines
  • Ability to travel for extended periods across Europe
