Job summary

A leading company in the automotive sector is seeking an EHS Manager for their Chapel-en-le-Frith plant. The role involves overseeing all Environmental, Health & Safety activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a strong safety culture. The successful candidate will work closely with the Plant Manager and key stakeholders to maintain EHS standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing sectors such as automotive, aerospace, pharma.
• Knowledge of compliance with environmental permits and safety standards.

We’re hiring an EHS Manager for our Chapel-en-le-Frith plant. In this key role, you'll report to the Plant Manager & you will lead all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) activities, ensuring full compliance with local and national regulations while fostering a strong safety culture on-site.

What you’ll do:

Manage and improve the plant’s EHS systems and procedures

Lead compliance efforts for environmental permits, hazardous materials, and safety standards

Deliver training, lead audits, and oversee the site Safety Committee

Collaborate with the Plant Manager and key stakeholders across production, engineering, and quality

Act as the main contact for Corporate EHS and external service providers

What we’re looking for:

IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management (a plus)

Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and experience in manufacturing(automotive, aerospace, pharma etc)
