Job summary

We are currently seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our Blyth project on site, responsible for managing Environmental, Health and Safety activities and ensuring regulatory compliance across the site, while driving

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in an EHS role within construction or engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience managing EHS on construction projects.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent) are essential.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders and promote a proactive safety culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all Environmental, Health & Safety activities across the project lifecycle.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and management systems.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all levels of the project.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on EHS practices.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance and ensure adherence to health & safety standards.
  • Review and approve safety documentation, including RAMS.
  • Manage incident investigations, reporting, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure delivery of safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing training programmes.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, audits, and safety performance metrics.
  • Attend Site Meetings, Safety Meetings, and Project Reviews.
  • Prepare and issue EHS reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and sustainability requirements.
  • Proactively identify and resolve EHS issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

We are currently seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join our project team in Blyth, United Kingdom. This role will be responsible for managing Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities on site, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and driving a strong safety culture across the project.

  • Data centre, industrial, or mission‑critical project experience is advantageous
